One first tip for losing weight is not to reduce drastically what you eat at every meal, but substitute the high-fat food with a low-fat food. If you are used to eat pasta, for example, reducing it will be a first step.

If food has a very important part in your diet, do not underestimate the amount of calories that some drinks have and how much they can be influencing in your diet. Alcohol, first of all should be completely cut out of your meals as the calories that it has are enormous. If you are an habitual beer drinker, stop immediately as beer and other kind of alcoholic drinks will only damage and hamper your efforts. Do not think that alcohol is the only drink to avoid: others such as cokes, sodas and drinks with a high quantity of sugars must be all avoided. The only allowed drink that should be part of your diet is water.

Another important tip for losing weight is avoiding to overeat: it is not necessary to make your stomach feel completely full, as at the end of each meal you should have a sensation of space in your stomach. Most of all when you are full, there is no point in continuing to eat. Moreover, remember that the brain takes a bit to receive the message of satiety.

According to many nutritionist, a good diet would not work with the absence of physical activity: the America College of Sports Medicine recommends almost 35-40 minutes of sport for 3-5 days per week. It could seem silly but, for a person who is not an “habitué” of practicing sports, even going up and down the stairs of the house could be a good start. Taking up a sport that you could like is the following step.

Following all these little tips could be an answer to those who do not know how to : remember, though, that once you have lost the desired weight, your body does not have to be neglected once again.
